Shepherd should keep her Views to herself
The View co-host Sherri Shepherd has viewers wondering if she was born this millennium. Again.
Less than three months after declaring her seriously outdated views on evolution, Shepherd said it was unacceptable for young boys to wear women’s clothing.
“If I found out a teacher let my son put a dress on, I would be mad as all get up,” Shepherd said on the Dec. 5 show. “Because my son, this is what you wear and this is what your sister wears. And this is my opinion and that’s fine. I don’t want my son wearing a dress. When you get 18 and you want to wear a dress and you get out the house, you can put a dress on.”
Her comments left the audience and panel of hosts scratching their heads.
“I wonder if we’re trying to label what used to be called imaginative behaviour,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg said.
But if Shepherd understands the concept of transgender, there’s no reason to believe children don’t.
The talk show personality and comedian is no stranger to controversial remarks. When Goldberg asked her counterpart whether the earth was flat last September, Shepherd thought the answer was irrelevant. “I don’t know,” Shepherd said. “I never thought about it.”
More recently, Shepherd got lost in a discussion about Christianity, claiming there has always been Christians in the world – even before, well, Christ.
